Row House Brings a Dedicated Rowing Format to South Lake Union

Row House South Lake Union sits at 419 Fairview Ave N, a few blocks off the actual water the neighborhood is named for, built entirely around the rowing erg rather than a mixed cardio floor. Group rowing has picked up nationally over the past several years. Here, it runs as its own studio, not a segment folded into a bigger class.

The studio runs on Concept2 rowing machines. Class structure splits five ways. Signature pairs rowing with floor work. Strength stays mostly on the floor, with low-rate rowing mixed in. Full Row is rowing only, 40 minutes or more. Restore combines rowing with mobility work for lighter days. Intervals rotates rowing, strength, and cardio in circuits. Five formats cover a full week without repeating a session. Someone chasing pure cardio volume and someone rehabbing a knee can both find a class that fits.
Pricing runs $28 to $34 per class, sold through ClassPass or direct membership. New members get two weeks for $36 through the studio's own site. The location's Instagram account has separately run a first-week-for-$30 version of the same pitch, so the two offers are worth comparing before signing up. Members paying with HSA or FSA funds through TrueMed see roughly a 30 percent effective discount, a detail few fitness memberships offer at all.
Rowing is low-impact by design. It works legs, back, and arms in one continuous pull instead of isolating them one at a time. That is the pitch: full-body work that does not pound the joints.
