PRO Club Seattle Is South Lake Union's Full Athletic Campus, Two Blocks From Amazon

PRO Club Seattle sits at 501 Eastlake Ave E, a two-block walk from Amazon's core campus. This is not a boutique studio squeezed into a ground-floor storefront. Weight room, cardio floor, group fitness, personal training, aquatics, indoor basketball, racquetball, squash, tennis, physical therapy, podiatry, spa and salon services, and the 20/20 Lifestyles weight-loss program run under one roof on the second floor.

The building carries real Seattle sports history. The club opened in 1973 as the SuperSonics Racquet and Health Club, the training home of the Seattle SuperSonics, before cardiovascular surgeon and bypass-surgery pioneer Dr. Mark Dedomenico and tennis pro Dick Knight bought and expanded it. The basketball court on site is the original NBA SuperSonics practice court. A second court, pulled from the Kingdome, once hosted NCAA Final Four games.
Group fitness runs Vinyasa and Gentle Flow yoga, Power and standard-format cycle, a high-intensity series, boxing, suspension training, and Pilates on the Reformer. Membership starts at $175 a month for Primary on the Seattle Campus Plus tier, $115 for Adult 30-64, with a $150 initiation fee. The Executive Club tier runs from $255 a month, $300 initiation. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., weekends 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., showers closing 15 minutes before the doors do. PRO Club was acquired by The Bay Club Company, a West Coast operator running 26 clubs from San Diego to the Pacific Northwest.
For the tech workforce clustered around Denny and Eastlake, this is the difference between a lunch-hour spin class and an actual campus: pools, courts, and physical therapy within walking distance of a desk. The court under their feet used to belong to the SuperSonics.
