MOOV Seattle Brings the Megaformer to South Lake Union

MOOV Seattle sits at 777 Thomas St, and the machine inside is not a classical reformer. MOOV runs the Megaformer, eighteen of the M3K model, built for the Lagree method: spring-loaded resistance, slow and controlled tempo, constant tension instead of quick pulses. The difference shows up in the first ten minutes. A classical reformer session isolates and lengthens. A Lagree session on the Megaformer holds a muscle under load and does not let it rest, drawing more from bodybuilding principles...

The studio opened in 2021, founded during the pandemic by people who wanted an in-person format when most fitness had moved to a screen. That origin still shows in the room: small classes, a schedule built around Full Body, Upper Body, Butts & Guts, an Intro to Lagree for anyone who has never touched a Megaformer, and Advanced formats for anyone who has. Pricing stays accessible for a first look: $15 for a first class, $60 for a 3-Class Pack, $89 for a 2-Weeks Unlimited package, the standard route for testing whether the tempo fits an actual schedule, not just one visit.

Reviews back the day-to-day read: 4.83 out of 5 across 66 ratings on Wellhub, an active Yelp page at 4.7 stars. Nothing about MOOV reads like a pop-up or a pandemic-era experiment that stuck around out of inertia. The studio has grown since opening, too: a second location, MOOV Sanctuary, opened in Belltown in early 2024, adding hot Pilates, yoga, sculpt, and HIIT alongside a sauna and cold plunge, a different format from the SLU studio's straight Megaformer focus.

MOOV trades the gentle curve of a classical reformer for spring tension that does not quit until the set does, a format of its own in South Lake Union's studio scene.
